1. Firstly, let’s get this out of the way: forget the naysayers. Haters are going to hate. Block the noise and don’t listen. You can filter through constructive criticism and hate. Just be yourself and stay laser-focused on your vision. Stay true to yourself. The naysayers will also pass away one day, so don’t let them affect or dictate your life.
2. You must be misunderstood before you can be understood. That's certainly been the story of my life. But I enjoy it: More doubt equals more drive and inspiration. It's hard to win someone's trust, it's hard to turn a No into a Yes, it's hard to do the work nobody wants to do, but with time and patience, everything will be won.
3. Before you can truly appreciate the beauty of this life, you must first experience a form of suffering or a heavy setback. Only then will you truly understand the shortness and beauty of life and not take anything for granted. A new day starts in the dark; there is often huge failure before any success story. The strongest steel is forged in the hottest fire. The meaning of this thought is that the deepest wisdom often comes from the most painful experiences. Study the darkness of life to create the beauty you want.
4. Less is more - This concept couldn't be more true. When it comes to life, I simply believe that less is more, and that on a bigger scale, you will win massively due to this concept. Fewer distractions lead to more focus, and over time, this will result in more targets being hit. Only focsing your time on a handful of things will compund to bigger things in the future. The true power is hidden in the repetition of the few most important things to which you apply your focus.
5. To control time, you must learn to control what only you can control. Your control is divided by your input (actions) and your thoughts. By focusing on our actions without attachment to results, disciplining our minds, and aligning with our dharma, we can transcend the limitations of time. By just focusing on what we can control - our efforts and actions - rather than outcomes, we use time more effectively. You simply control time by using time more effectively.
6. Only bet on yourself—self-belief is the biggest factor for winning in life. Building a strong belief system within yourself that nobody can break is the best feeling.
7. Never seek advice from someone who isn’t where you aspire to be in life, or from a person who lacks mastery in the field you wish to pursue. This is a time-waster, and time is undoubtedly the most valuable asset you have in this lifetime.
8. Trade your 20s for a better future. Learn to get more done in a decade than most people accomplish in their lifetime. See how far you can take yourself. This is a concept I understood a bit later. You should plan each decade clearly and map out what you want to achieve. Ten years is a reasonable timeline to reach significant goals if everything is planned in advance.
9. Opportunities isn't free - The only way to get opportunities in life from what I have learned is to put yourself out there, and do something which would help you attract the opportunities you want. Opportunities comes with a price tag, and that price tag is called sacrifice.
10. Treat your body as a temple because it is one. 'Health is wealth' is a famous saying, and it’s true. You should take care of your body because, without it, you would vanish. Do some form of exercise every day, pray, and keep your mind sharp. The connection between body, mind, and soul is one you should strive to keep strong throughout your lifetime.
